Artist Exchange Program
Participatory Practice · Cultural Programming · Workshops · Community

In parallel to my design work, I have spent several years developing community-based projects connected to music, shared spaces and cultural exchange. These projects explore how creativity can bring people together and create temporary communities around making, learning and sharing.
One of the main contexts for this work has been a small camping site in the Catalan Pyrenees, where I initiated an artist exchange programme that welcomed musicians, craftspeople and creatives from different countries. The camping became a meeting point where people could collaborate, experiment and share knowledge in an informal environment.
The programme has hosted artists, travellers and neighbours through concerts, shared meals, creative workshops and collaborative projects, creating a space where artistic practice and everyday life naturally intersect.
The exchange began in 2024 and keeps growing — more than twenty artists took part in 2026 alone.
The Setting
When I first arrived at this small camping in the Pyrenees, I proposed transforming it into a place for cultural exchange — adding glamping accommodation, a hostel and the artist exchange programme.
Activities range from music sessions and concerts to practical workshops such as planting, natural cosmetics, crafts and cooking. Participants contribute their skills and knowledge, creating a reciprocal exchange where everyone can both teach and learn.

The Exchange
The project explores how informal cultural spaces can encourage collaboration, experimentation and community building outside traditional institutions.
Rather than functioning as a formal residency, the programme grows organically through the people who pass through it, leaving behind shared experiences, new skills and ongoing connections.

Gatherings & Shared Moments
Concerts, shared meals, workshops and everyday life at the camping form the heart of the exchange.

This programme reflects my interest in creating spaces where creativity becomes a shared language — where people meet, exchange knowledge and build something together.Next / 08Lonbali & Desigual→
